Blues Redemption, a mainstay in the Pacific Northwest, has been together since 2010. They have played across Washington state from Port Townsend into Oregon and east of the mountains, as well as Memphis and New Orleans.

After winning its local competitions in 2011 and 2013, the South Sound Blues Association sponsored them on trips to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. They  showcased mostly original music there.

The group consists of Doug Skoog, Brian Feist, Chris Leighton and Joe Hendershot. This veteran lineup of award winning musicians has an impressive history, having played with renown performers including Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, James Cotton, and RB Greaves to name a few. Individually they have played with countless local big names too numerous to mention.

Doug Skoog has won the Washington Blues Society Best of the Blues award for piano. His soulful vocals are featured prominently. He traveled extensively with Chuck Berry.

Chris Leighton, drums, is the namesake of Washington Blues Society's Chris Leighton Blues Drummer Award. Highly sought after in the Pacific Northwest, his drumming has earned him many distinctions. His talent on drums has taken him around the world, including extensive travel in Europe.

The band’s diversity and experience serve them well as they appeal to a broad cross section of music lovers. Their blues shuffles, boogie woogie, rumba, swing and straight ahead blues and rock beats give dancers and listeners equally, something to cheer about. They are warmly received everywhere they play.
